In June of 2019, during the transformative Soul Art Day Event, I began the creation of “Be Brave.” At the time, I wasn’t fully conscious of the depth of connection I was making with my core wound. All I knew was that I wanted to body map my solar plexus, which felt like a sticky web needing the touch of my loving, healing hands. This was my call to be brave.
The intention behind this piece was powerful: “I am redefining what my life, health, love, and success mean to me.” I did not initially grasp the grandness of this intention, but the symbolism in the piece was profound. Spider, my Spirit Guide, emerged to support me through the process, alongside flowers inviting me to flourish, birds reassuring me that I am surrounded by heavenly helpers, and golden coins pointing to abundance which helped me believe in a better life. These symbols were guiding me toward healing and empowerment.
Healing my core wound has been a multi-layered journey, including ancestral healing related to generational trauma carried by certain family members for longer than they can remember. This was not something I knew consciously. The Soul Art Journey illuminated this pathway for me, one creative process at a time.
It’s true that our core wounds often resurface in relationships or when we push towards our next level of growth and expansion, crafting our YOUnique selves and lives. To commit to continuously showing up for myself in Spirit action, I wrote in my journal:
“I, Nadia Shana Krauss, am to be BRAVE and FLOURISH to heal the father & mother wounds and all that accompanies them, clearing them from my system.”
This profound commitment was both consciously and subconsciously initiated on June 9th, 2019, during the Soul Art Day Ritual. As I continue to explore and express my Sweet Truths through Soul Art, “Be Brave” stands as a testament to the courage it takes to face our deepest wounds and emerge stronger and more empowered.
