“Sanguine Bloom”: A Journey of Presence and Self-Care

“Sanguine Bloom” emerged during the first Soul Art Journey I facilitated as a guide, and it holds a special place in my heart. This piece represents not only my client’s transformation but also my own experience of being fully present in guiding another’s creative and healing process.

[Being a guide for another took me on a transformational journey, urging me to “wear my love”, so that I could move from being bound by my fears to allowing myself the expression of e-motion. Being present so that energy in motion could flow freely through me.]

After helping my client discern her Soul Art Intention, we began the body mapping process. She mapped her arm, focusing on the part she referred to as her “arm wings,” a spot she wanted to tighten. She also mapped her glasses, symbolizing her eyes—the feature she has always loved about herself. I, in turn, mapped my feet, hands, and knees, a reflection of how grounded and fully present I felt while guiding this journey.

As we worked side by side, the room filled with the soothing sounds of spa music, and our creative expressions began to take shape. It was fascinating to witness my client as she immersed herself in the process, while I too was deeply engaged in my creative flow. I trusted that her insights would surface just as mine were doing, and there was a mutual sense of connection and understanding.

Three hours passed effortlessly, and it became clear that rushing or forcing the process wouldn’t honor the depth of the experience. It was like enjoying a rich, nutrient-dense meal that needed time to be properly digested. My client had moved through confusion, holding multiple energies and sensations in her body, to a place of ripeness—ready to embrace more calm through self-care rituals.

Her biggest insight was the need to regularly make time for self-care practices that truly nourish her. To honor this, her Spirit Action was to spend more time in nature, starting with enjoying her morning coffee outside and listening to the birds instead of rushing to work. She began this practice on a Monday and continued for five consecutive days, completing it on a Friday. The true sign of embodying her insight will be when she no longer feels guilty for taking this time for herself.
